Beautiful Technological Art

My blog is mostly a collection of things I like so that I can go back and look at them later. I'm not really creating anything consistent and it is not my purpose to entertain.

If you want to know anything...ask.

art-of-swords:

Short Sword (Wakizashi)
Made by the famous swordsmith Kanetaka. An inscription on the tang dates it to 1658. The sword is in immaculate condition, with all the sword furniture, in iron, copper and gold, signed by different craftsmen. This magnificent short sword was surrendered to an Australian military policeman in Kobe, after World War II and donated to the Abbey Museum in 1989.
